The Best Time of Day to Play Sudoku

There isn't one. But when you do it matters less than that you do it. A few things I've figured out.

The Best Time of Day to Play Sudoku

Morning is the best time of day for me. Coffee, puzzle, computer. Fewer distractions to deal with. Although, I suppose that is a bit subjective. Perhaps it is the coffee taking hold, perhaps it is that I have not yet checked my email. Whatever the reason, I find that the numbers seem to pop out of the computer more quickly during the morning hours.

Lunchtime is the worst. Sometimes I just need to get away from screens all together and work on a puzzle. Other times I literally just want to sit and stare at the wall. Short puzzles can give me a much needed break from the computer and are a great way to feel a mini reboot after being in front of a screen all morning. All in about 10 minutes.

I've tried just doing one per night. Some people have reported that that has worked for them. It doesn't seem to do it for me, though. Some mornings I'll feel like doing one, while other mornings I'll just be too tired and my fingers will keep entering a stream of drivel, which annoys me. I just stick with mornings. Your mileage may vary.

THE BEST TIME IS WHEN EVER YOU CAN. In the morning on the way to work, whilst on the loo, or whilst waiting for the kettle to boil? I know of one person who does them at the kitchen table at night when the children are in bed. Who cares? Just give it a go.
