A killer sudoku to try with your coffee

Up for a challenge? Here's a Killer Sudoku for today: coffeesudoku.com/game?seed=2132751582&d=Killer+Medium. Medium difficulty. No login, no ads. Fifteen to twenty minutes if it goes well.

If you have never played one, Killer is sudoku with cages. The grid is chopped into dashed shapes, each shape has a number in the corner, and the digits inside have to add to that number. No repeats inside a cage. No starting digits anywhere. You build the puzzle out of the sums.

This one is friendlier than it looks. Any cage made of a single cell is just that number, given to you. The two-cell cage that sums to 16 has to be 7 and 9. The two-cell cage that sums to 3 has to be 1 and 2. Find the forced ones first and the rest opens up. There is a fuller walkthrough of cage techniques in the killer cages guide on the site.

The cage sum gives you an extra constraint on top of the usual row, column, and box. That is most of why Killer feels different from regular sudoku. The same logic, with one more piece to fit.

Too hard, switch to Killer Easy. Too easy, Killer Hard.
